Olympus: Nokia Phone with 41 MP is as Shit?
Recently launched a smart phone with 41MP camera sensor, Nokia has been widely criticized sharply. Olympus spokeswoman regard 41MP camera embedded in the Nokia mobile phone, Nokia 808 PureView as a nonsense.
Mark Thackara, National Marketing Manager of Olympus said the move Nokia as an effort to attract to get around the problem cropping images on the phone.
Because the phone does not have a zoom lens, the device relies on the digital zoom or crop the image by clicking once photographed. It has been shown to limit the number of megapixels the camera to use a lower, something that PureView (Nokia phone with 41MP camera) trying to fix it.
"It sounds like crap. Size of the lens means that the overall image quality will still be restricted, making it difficult to say too much about this camera without seeing results," criticism Thackara, as reported by TechRadar, Thursday (03/01/2012).
Even Tachkara also held the camera shots Nokia mobile phone with a camera that is not so good. "Let's shoot under different conditions and see which one will win," he said.
Olmypus producing compact cameras, recently said that the smartphone will never replace the compact because of the limited zoom technology. "It's all about the zoom and I can not see it changing. Phone will never match with 24x zoom, if it can be done then I'll eat my hat," says Thackara at that time.
